Maddox Writes to Santa

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's son Maddox has written a letter to Santa Claus asking for various presents for himself and his siblings. Isn't that the cutest thing ever?

A source close to Jolie told OK! magazine, "Maddox asked for an 'Elf' DVD and remote-controlled cars for Pax because his brother loves cars. Shiloh is getting a doll and a couple of books.

"Zahara wants princess dresses and a crying doll. Maddox has no idea why Z would want her toy to cry. Maddox really wanted a remote-controlled dinosaur. He asked Grandma Jane (Pitt) for one, but he isn't sure if she is going to buy it for him."

The Brangelina bunch will have a traditional Christmas in New Orleans in their $3.5 million dollar mansion. Jolie said, "I am working on my film 'The Changeling' in Los Angeles, but we will be back here in New Orleans for Christmas time. We'll be here throughout the festive period."

Angelina Jolie Back for Action in Paramount's Spy Project

© Solarpix/PR Photos Apparently it does not take long for Angelina Jolie to make her way back into action genre after "Wanted (2008)." Variety has learned that the striking actress will have a spy action thriller as her next starring vehicle, set under Paramount Pictures banner.

Project will be inspired from the true story of intelligence operative Kathi Lynn Austin in dealing with arms trafficking and terrorism. She is noted to have undertaken field missions in Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, also Central America and most recently worked on contract for the U.N. Security Council.

Austin first met and signed with IPG's Joel Gotler to tell her story before the two brought it to producer Geyer Kosinski. The three then developed together a pitch that was similar in spirit to "The Bourne Identity" and successfully sold it to Paramount production president Brad Weston.

No director and writer on board yet, but studio and Kosinski reportedly have compiled a shortlist of scribes from which they aim to pick one as soon as the WGA strike ends. Meanwhile, it is said that the film's story will also involve a fictional arms dealer inspired by Victor Bout, the shadowy Russian who is considered one of the world's most prolific dealers in illegal munitions.

Empire Magazine Presents Its Pick of 100 Sexiest Movie Stars

© David Gabber/PR Photos Notwithstanding with her being labeled as skinny, Angelina Jolie has been chosen the 1st in a poll conducted by Empire Magazine on 100 Sexiest Movie Stars. Seizing the top spot on the list her sexiest moment, according to Empire, was "beating the hell out of Brad Pitt in 'Mr and Mrs Smith' and then banging the hell out of him by way of apology."

Jolie is said by Empire "to have been precision built to turn cinema audiences into drooling wrecks. The pneumatic figure, the feline eyes, the lips that could have been stung by several hives of bees. Simply unimprovable."

Pitt, meanwhile, comes at 7th and is praised by Empire as "So empirically good-looking that you'd have to hate him if he wasn't clearly such a nice guy with it. The eyes, the smile, the rippling six-pack despite being the wrong side of 40 - he's the man men dream of being and women dream their man could be."

Just one spot behind Jolie is Natalie Portman who's described as "Sexy, but in a ladylike 'doesn't flash her gusset at the paparazzi' way, Portman is the pin-up for those who like their women as smart as they are slinky. Plus, she's beautiful enough to make even baldness hot in 'V for Vendetta.'"

The other Hollywood famous celebs included among Empire's pick of 100 Sexiest Movie Stars among others are Daniel Craig, Jessica Alba, Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley, and Gerard Butler, all of whom are rounding out the Top 10.

Reese Witherspoon should have no problem meeting the demands of her holiday shopping list: The Hollywood headliner tops the list of 2007's highest-paid actresses in the business.

Noting that her last film, Rendition, costarring her apparent off-screen companion Jake Gyllenhaal, proved a box-office disappointment, the Hollywood Reporter still ranks the Walk the Line Oscar winner, 31, at the top of its chart, given her $15-20-million paycheck per picture.

Coming in second: Angela Jolie, 32, though her salary for the current Beowulf was said to be a "mere" $8 million. Still, averaging things out, she made about $20 million for 2005's Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the trade paper calculates. She also met Brad Pitt on that picture.

Cameron Diaz, 35, placed third, with a $15 million-per-movie salary demand, though her take-home earnings from the most recent Shrek installment are pegged at a very healthy $30 million.

Last year's No. 2, Nicole Kidman, 40, fell to fourth place, with an asking price of $10 million to $15 million a film. While her last few movies (including Invasion and Margot at the Wedding) failed to strike box-office gold, hopes remain high for The Golden Compass, costarring Daniel Craig and opening Dec. 7.

Julia Roberts's Return
Also in the $10 to $15 million club are Renée Zellweger, Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts, despite an absence from the screen since 2004. Her next film, Charlie Wilson's War, costarring box-office powerhouse Tom Hanks, is set to open for the holidays.

Rounding out the top 10, by making $10 million to $12 million per project, are Drew Barrymore, Jodie Foster and Halle Berry, who is said to earn an even $10 million.

Brad Pitt's Ninth Ward Project Is Pretty in Pink

Brad Pitt unveiled his ambitious new residential vision for the Hurricane Katrina-ravaged Ninth Ward of New Orleans on Monday's Today show. With a goal to have the project completed by the end of next summer, he calls it "Make It Right."

"I'm hoping we can start here and expand all over New Orleans," the star, 43, told Ann Curry as the two walked among pink tents ("an art installation, a social statement," he called them, admitting he'd like to see how it looks on Google Earth) erected to mark where on the site the future homes are to be built.

Calling himself "not much of a salesman," Pitt, who on Nov. 9 pledged $5 million of his own money toward the long-gestating project, is asking the general public – "foundations, individuals of means, church groups" – to donate and "help the families of New Orleans get back into their homes."

In a statement, New York Senator Hillary Clinton said, "[R]ebuilding this city is not a New Orleans obligation or a Louisiana obligation – it is an American obligation."

"We can do it, it's ready to go," said Pitt, explaining that each home would cost $150,000. Should prospective contributors not be able to make such large donations, separate household items are available for what he called "Christmas adoption," such as a solar panel or family bathroom fixtures.

Love of My Family
Asked if this project were his top priority, even above making movies, Pitt said that actually his family comes first, but "that love of my family brings me here."

Pitt also explained that the prototype drawings of the new houses show the residences built on stilts because of the fear of future flooding, just as homes in California would be built to withstand earthquakes. A team of architects led by the New Orleans-based John Williams designed the Louisiana homes.

Angelina Stops By
Already the site is familiar to Pitt. Over the weekend, his companion Angelina Jolie, 32, and their daughter Zahara, 2, were among the spectators wandering among the pink-covered fixtures – as was local resident Ivory Porter Webb, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Webb reportedly started talking to Jolie only to realize who she was – so Webb apologized for interrupting the actress. "I don't want you think I'm a lunatic," Webb said.

Far from it, says the paper: Jolie invited the woman to a party Monday night, an excited Webb later revealed.

Jolie also hooked up with Pitt as he was cycling near the site, down by the river
